North Channel EMS Offers Free CPR Training to Empower the Community and Save Lives

North Channel EMS is committed to enhancing community safety by providing free CPR training to residents. This initiative is designed to equip individuals with the life-saving skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies, particularly in cases of cardiac arrest.

Through these free training sessions, community members will learn how to perform CPR—a critical intervention that can double or even triple a person’s chances of survival if administered immediately after cardiac arrest. The training also includes instruction on how to use a defibrillator, another essential tool in saving lives during such emergencies.

In addition to gaining valuable CPR skills, participants in the training sessions will be encouraged to register as responders on the GoodSAM app. This app uses GPS technology to notify trained individuals of a nearby cardiac arrest, enabling them to provide critical assistance before emergency services arrive.

By offering this training, North Channel EMS aims to create a network of local GoodSAM responders who can act quickly in emergencies, increasing the likelihood of positive outcomes in cardiac arrest cases. The goal is to empower as many people as possible in the community to step in and save lives when every second counts.

North Channel EMS encourages all residents, regardless of prior experience, to take advantage of this free training opportunity. Whether you’re a healthcare professional, first responder, or simply a concerned citizen, these skills could one day make the difference between life and death for someone in your community.
